This easy going and approachable wine is delivering classic aromas characteristic of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Lively gooseberry and ripe capsicum, layered with tropical passionfruit and grapefruit undertones.

Recognising the site of the Marlborough Wine Festival, all Festival Block wines honour this annual celebration of local food and wine and showcase varietals from around New Zealand. Pretty, deep ruby hue with a bouquet of mostly cedar/ smoky oak. It's dry with nice dark fruit character, plum, black currant, spiciness and pithy tannins.

The Montana Festival Block Waipara Pinot Gris shows aromas of meadow flowers and wild honey. The nose makes way for a rich, weighty palate with pear and guava notes underpinned with subtle mixed spice.

This traditional blend has distinctive varietal characters of plums, blackberries, coffee and dark chocolate with hints of violet flower. It is a mouth-filling wine of great length with textured soft tannins.

Lifted violet, blueberry and jubed fruit bouquets leads the nose with nuances of vanilla oak flavour due to American oak maturation. The palate is rounded and medium bodied with silky tannins and dark cherry and ripe raspberries with a hint of herb and spice.

Floral notes alongside white fleshed peach, pear and all spice characters. The palate displays these same characters in abundance focusing on ripe succulent peach notes, while the mid palate is full, creamy and well textured. The wine has a rich, spice infused finish.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

This Pinot Rosé displays a lovely red rose petal, whilst the aroma talks of ripe raspberry and strawberry notes. On the palate the wine leads with dry textural red cherry, developing into a richly textured mid-palate; brambly raspberry notes drive the finish of the wine.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. Roaring Meg Chardonnay features citrus floral notes, toasted brioche and a hint of cashew on the nose. Initially some classically rich Chardonnay fruit character on the palate, white stone fruit and toast notes which then picks up on the fresh and crisp finish. The wine finishes with refreshing grapefruit and lemon zest.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. Roaring Meg Pinot Gris features lifted and aromatic notes of jasmine, green pear & grapefruit on the nose. A vibrant palate of red apple, lime, yellow plum and lychee with balanced freshness from the acidity and residual sweetness for a buoyant and juicy finish.
